The old stones are decorated with symbols of beautiful flowers, and as you gaze up to the tower's peak, you're met with a stunning Damascus Stained Glass window, radiating the vibrant hues of the California Poppy, the crown jewel of the estate.

A Personal Note From WoolyLady
We are delighted to bring this traditional Stained Glass wool window project into your home, while also celebrating the beauty of the poppies that blossom across California's widely varying landscape. Our Lead Designer, Laura, is originally from California, and this project holds a special place in her heart. We hope you all enjoy it too!

Technical Notes from the Designer
This project is designed in a Damascus Stained Glass style. It contains more pieces than some of our previous Stained-Glass projects, and for this reason we highly recommend a few important tips for success.

- We HIGHLY recommend using the Fusible method for the appliqué pieces. For more precise placement and stability, this method is preferred over the Freezer paper Template method.
- We also recommend that you stabilize the back side of your True Black Background wool with Presto Sheer. This will provide additional stability for all the pieces you need to stitch to the Background, and prevent “warping” of the edges of the Background wool.
- Layout all the pieces onto the background at one time. When your layout looks perfect, fuse all the pieces down to the background at once. This will prevent any shifting or migration of any of the pieces during stitching.
- We also recommend stitching your pieces from the OUTSIDE edges toward the center. This will prevent any loosening or wear of the outer pieces, while stitching the inner pieces.
